Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat at Wolves on Apr 2 saw them lose ground on the Premier League (PL) top four. It marked what was (as of Apr 9) their third game in succession to yield that scoreline and see one team score consecutive match goals.
United’s PL home form alone offers no respite in that regard either, with just one of their last nine league matches here seeing them keep a clean sheet. In each of the last three home PL games where the ‘Red Devils’ have conceded, their opponent on the day has scored in the 75th minute or later.
The home fans in attendance will be pleased to note that West Ham’s last four matches (W1, L3) have seen them concede 2+ goals, with each seeing them trail by a two-goal margin at one point, and all the defeats ending 2-0. All four games also saw West Ham lose the first half.
