Frank Lampard’s managerial baptism of fire last weekend made it one Premier League (PL) win in six for Chelsea (W1, D3, L2). All of the games won/lost either way in that sequence have seen the victor win the second half to-nil by a margin of over 1.5 goals.
However, Chelsea is unbeaten in nine home league outings (W6, D3), following a 1-0 defeat to Leicester back in Dec 2018, which came courtesy of a second-half goal. Notably, each of Chelsea’s last eight PL home wins has seen them win the second half ‘to-nil’.
