Though without the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus remain firm favourites to win by a landslide against Champions League (CL) debutants BSC Young Boys in Turin on Tuesday evening. After racking up two consecutive victories for just the second time in nine CL campaigns, Juventus come into this one with a 100% win record across all competitions.
Juventus have scored two or more goals in all but one of their last six CL fixtures. Their opponents have also knack for playing their part in goalfests against Italian opponents, as three of Young Boys’ four continental fixtures against Italian sides to date have produced three or more total goals.
Though well-beaten on CL matchday one, Young Boys bring some staggeringly strong domestic form into the competition (W9, D0, L0). Goals should be expected here, as all but one of Young Boys’ last nine competitive fixtures have seen three or more total goals scored.
This will be Young Boys’ first group stage road trip in the CL. To date, teams representing Young Boys have played just two competitive fixtures in Italy: a 2-3 victory in Udinese (2012/13) and a 3-0 loss to Napoli (2014/15).
Players to watch: Wojciech Szczęsny (Juventus) was simply superb against Valencia on matchday one, making six saves (including one from the spot) in his clean sheet.
Guillaume Hoarau (Young Boys) has registered five goals in his last seven domestic appearances, and also got his side through to the group stage with a double at Dinamo Zagreb in the qualifying round.

Stat attack: Including pre-season International Champions Cup results, Juventus have scored first in eight of their last nine matches.
Across all competitions, seven of Young Boys’ last eight matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
Juventus have lost just one of their last ten UCL matches (W6, D3, L1).
