Live Standings
Closing in on the Premier League (PL) title, Manchester City have won each of their previous 12 league games. Only five other sides in PL history have won 12+ games in a row, although City are the only side to have done it twice. Impressively, nine of those wins were accompanied by a clean sheet.
The ‘Citizens’ can boast the best home record in the PL (W17, L1), and it doesn’t show signs of letting up. They have won eight of their previous ten PL home games in May (W8, D2), scoring 29 goals and conceding just five.
Leicester are in good form having lost just one of their previous seven league matches (W5, D1, L1). Notably, each of those wins saw Brendan Rodgers side score two or more goals. Additionally, victory at the Etihad would see the Foxes complete a top-flight double over reigning top-flight champions for the first time since 1985/86 against Everton.
Though beaten in their last three Premier League (PL) games, Arsenal have produced some pleasing trends at home. Most notably of all, they have scored the last match goal inside the final half-hour in each of their last four PL home games, reinforcing their sense of staying power.
Additionally, since the start of May 2018, Arsenal have only conceded an equaliser once after scoring first in a PL home match. In relation to this, each of the Gunners’ last three home league victories to-nil have seen them win five of a possible six halves of football.
Winless in seven PL matches ahead of kick-off (D2, L5), and losers to-nil in each of those five defeats, Brighton have lost on all preceding PL trips to a top-six club this season. Relevantly, a majority of those have seen the ‘Seagulls’ lose to-nil (four times) and/or lose the first half to-nil (four times).
