Arsenal vs Totenham EPL 1.9.2019

Arsenal takes on Tottenham Hotspur in the 199th north London derby and leading the overall series 82 to 64 (D52). With just one loss in the last 26 league H2Hs at home (W15, D10), the ‘Gunners’ enter the contest as favorites – a scenario that has seen them win 14 of their last 17 home Premier League (PL) games (D2, L1) when favored as such.

An opening home victory means Arsenal have now scored in their last 19 PL games here, with 12 of those seeing them win despite a -1 handicap, including a 4-2 win over Tottenham.

Slow starters at home, Arsenal have been ahead at half-time in just eight of their last 20 league games here. Subsequently, they are strong in the second period, scoring 29 goals after the break over that sequence compared to 15 first-half goals.

Southampton vs Manchester united epl 31.8.2019

After losing their two opening games, Southampton’s win at Brighton last week broke a poor run of seven league matches without success. Despite their 16th-place Premier League (PL) finish last season, they lost just 31.58% of their home league games. In a further boost, the ‘Saints’ haven’t lost their opening two home league games since season 2012/13.

Despite a balanced home league record in the last 15 games (W5, D5, L5), Southampton started well in this sequence, taking the lead in ten. However, they only went on to win 40% of those ten games while unsurprisingly 14 of the 15 saw both teams score.

After thumping Chelsea in their opening PL game, Manchester United have claimed just one point in their subsequent two PL games, including a draw in their one away trip (to Wolves). Away from home last season, United had the joint-fourth best record in terms of points gained and goals scored, with an average of 1.58 points and 1.68 goals per game.
