Crystal Palace have the accolade of being one of just four teams that have beaten Manchester City in the Premier League (PL) this season. Said match was a feisty affair in which the ‘Eagles’ notched three goals and were shown four yellow cards.
Three straight PL matches involving Palace have featured less than three goals, and overall this season, just one team has played out fewer matches of that ilk than Palace’s 13 (39.39%). In contradiction though, three of the club’s last four H2Hs with City across all venues have featured no less than five goals!
Preparing to face a team they have not beaten in two attempts prior to kick-off, visitors City are playing their fourth competitive match within two weeks. Despite their packed schedule, City’s PL momentum has been impressive, with Pep Guardiola’s men registering eight straight wins, six of which have been accompanied by a clean sheet.
The fact remains, however, that City have been in front at half time in 68.75% of their PL matches this season – by some margin the best in the league.
